Welcome to Bromley LINk!

We are an independent network of individuals and organisations who work together to improve health and social care in Bromley. So if you have something good or bad to say about services in Bromley, we want to hear from you!

Anyone can join the LINk, membership is free and you can get involved in the way that you want - whether attending meetings about issues, receiving information or telling us what you think about health and social care services.

The LINk takes up the issues that matter to local people and works with providers and commissioners to make improvements to local NHS and social care services.

LINks were set up by the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007, and so have statutory powers to help them monitor and influence service provision.

When Bromley LINk identifies an issue that it wants to investigate, it therefore has powers to:
-Ask for information and get answers in a specified period of time
-Carry out spot checks (Enter and View visits), when necessary, to see if services are working well
-Make recommendations about how services can be improved and get a response
-Refer issues further (to Bromley Council's Adult and Community services Scrutiny Committee or the Care Quality Commission) if it seems action is not being taken.

We currently have 5 Task Groups looking at different areas of interest and issues in Bromley:
-Bromley Hospitals
-Commissioning of services
-Community provider unit (community health services)
-Learning Disabilities
-Mental Health

The LINk Coordinating Group oversees the work of the Task Groups and makes sure that the LINk is taking up the issues that matter to the people of Bromley.

Bromley LINk is hosted by Shaw Trust. The host helps support the LINk and its work, as well as telling people around Bromley about the LINk. Bromley LINk's Community Development Officer is Sam Paice and its Administrator is Nicki Rigby.

If you would like to know more about the work of the LINk, or have your say on an issue that matters to you, please contact us through the 'Contact' section on this website, by email at bromleylink@shaw-trust.org.uk or by phone at 02083151982. We hope to hear from you soon!
